Console Should Work Nicely In A Script

Description

With a few changes the console can be easier to use from a script. 1) Print errors to stderr (easier to separate important warnings and errors from status noise). 2) Have option to echo input in output (will make debug log easier to read). 3) Have option to operate in silent mode (don't prompt for input). 4) Have option to suppress "are you sure?"-type confirmation prompts. 5) Have option to auto-fail or auto-proceed on detection of lock or other unexpected prompts.
